Pernod Ricard is one of the worlds largest premium spirits company, serving up the world’s favourite drinks brands in more than 160 companies.

Penfold’s offer a re-corking service to Penfold collectors’ who have wine bottles stored in their cellars that are of a certain vintage and quality. These can be brought to a central location where the Penfold’s team will un-cork and re-cork the expensive bottles of wine. This ensures the bottles are maintained and the cork doesn’t perish and spoil the wine.

The re-corking program was a very manual program to administer. This meant fewer people could attend the re-corking clinics. Ignite Digital have been able to provide a more automated solution through the use of Salesforce Marketing Cloud to make this more efficient and extend to more customers.

Ignite Digital created a mini-website through the use of landing pages to support the administration of the re-corking clinics. This included booking in the dates, time slots, and sending automated email communications to the individual to have all the information at their fingertips for the location, parking, and enable smooth running of the re-corking clinics on the day.

A major technical component of this was to take the booking for the individual bottles and direct the person to the correct table within the re-corking clinic for their specific bottles to be re-corked. Everything was automated as much as possible.

This re-corking mini website, worked really well and was a huge success. The whole process was smoother for the customers, staff and running of the day. Penfold’s have been able to enjoy the program more and with less headaches to administer. The customers have enjoyed personalised detailed communications and information at their fingertips for the details. Overall a huge success.
